Terms Of Sale

All orders are placed subject to the following terms & conditions. By placing an order you confirm that you agree with all stated terms & conditions below.

General

When placing an order with Cards By Lynette you are making an offer to purchase the goods detailed in that order. We reserve the right to accept or decline that offer.

When you place an order with Cards By Lynette, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you (in the form of the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). The acceptance of your offer to purchase will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you.

We will not accept liability for any errors in the description of the products shown on our website, and reserve the right to change and/or update the website and associated products at any time. E&OE.

We will not be responsible for any losses resulting from your use, or your inability to use our website.

Please note that all cards are individually handmade, as such there will inevitably be variations in style, pattern, positioning, texture and colour. This will not affect the quality of the product you will receive. Colours on screen may vary from the finished design.

Cards are not toys and should be kept away from small children. All items may contain small, sharp or functional components.

Dispatch And Delivery

Cards are usually sent out by 1st class post usually within 3-5 working days ('working days' being Monday-Friday) of your order being placed. During busy times (for example Christmas and Easter) it may take slightly longer to dispatch your order. Please allow sufficient time for your card to be delivered to you (and for to you write and send it on) when placing an order. You will receive an email notication when your order is dispatched.

When ordering multiple items, unless you are otherwise notified, the complete order with be despatched as a single consignment. Please note the longer despatch time applicable will apply.

You should normally receive your order within 1-3 days of dispatch - though we shall not be liable for delay or failure to deliver products promptly if such failure arises due to force majeure or by reason of any delays occasioned by strikes, riots, lockouts or other labour trouble, war, fire, accident, mechanical failure, non-availability of manufactured stock, parts, or materials; delay or failure of delivery of the products by manufacturers, suppliers or other persons; government action, legislation or regulation of any kind; Act of God, or any circumstances whatsoever outside our reasonable control.

All products are subject to availability. If your item is not in stock, we will hold your order for you until the item is available. If there is going to be a delay of more than 7 days we will let you know and you can cancel your order if you would rather not wait. All materials, including envelopes and card boxes will be chosen from stock if the particular envelope, card box or other material shown is not available at the time of purchase.

Pricing

All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling. We are not registered for VAT - as such our prices do not include VAT (and VAT will not be charged on orders placed with us). Note that we reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notification.

Customers outside of the UK are responsible for all local taxes, customs charges and import duties on their order - these are not included in the purchase price. Please ensure that you are familiar with any surcharges you will be required to pay before placing an order.

We reserve the right to cancel any order due to incorrect pricing, incorrect stock levels or any other reason which will prevent us from supplying the product at the advertised price.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive - Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 which may be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

You are solely responsible for inspecting the product upon delivery. Any damage to or items missing from your order must be reported to us within 48 hours of the delivery being made.

If you've changed your mind we're happy for you to cancel your order at any point up until it is processed, in which case a complete refund will be issued. Should processing of your order have already begun then we are happy to issue a refund for any items which are not being custom designed or made to order.

We underestand that there is a occasionally a reason why an item you have ordered is no longer required. If this is the case, you may cancel your order and a refund will be issued. You must notify us in advance stating that you wish to return the item within 7 days of receipt and return the item to us within 28 days.

We regret we are unable to offer refunds on cards that have been personalised or custom made to your specifications unless they are damaged or faulty (Distance Selling Regulations 2000 paragraph 13(c)). In the case of returned damaged or personalised items, these will be replaced as per the original order, or you will be offered a refund for the cost of the item.

Items must be returned at your cost and be in a saleable condition. Reasonable care must be taken of the goods whilst in your possession and where possible please return items in the original packaging. If goods are returned to us in an unsaleable condition then no refund will be issued. You must pay for the cost of returning the item and are responsible for the safety of the goods in transit. Delivery charges and return postage charges are non refundable unless the goods are found to be damaged or faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
